M416 Overland Trailer behind 100 Series Land Cruiser — Custom M416 Overland Trailer behind our 100 Series Land Crusier.

This is an overview of our custom M416 military trailer that has built up for overlanding and vehicle based camping. I bought this trailer used and the previous owner had done the majority of the work. This trailer started as your standard M416 that was used by the US military. This trailer underwent a frame-off build to fully box the frame, a rear trailer hitch was added, and a telescoping tongue. Metal fenders that bolt-on were also added to the tub, as well as a rear tailgate and a rack to house a roof top tent. I have made minor changes in my 7 years of ownership like a front hitch receiver for carrying more bikes and a bigger roof top tent, but the majority of the original build is unchanged. We house our family of 6 in a iKamper Skycamp 2.0 and a Ironman 4x4 Awning with a zip-in room. This sleeps 2 adults and 4 kids quite comfortably with minimal setup/teardown time.
